The workshop was a weekly operated art studio for young autistic adults located in Budapest. Together with Kriszti Scholtz, I held art and art theory courses for the participants. The special focus – beyond social integration and self-awareness topics – was on giving theoretical and practical knowledge in connection with current visual culture carrying interesting and understandable messages for the learners. We had complete freedom in our educational work. We analyzed pop record covers or Star Wars scenes, drew G.I. Joe portraits and comics, or went to Ludwig Museum to see an exhibition together or to the opening of a contemporary art exhibition in Buda. We were teaching in 7-8 head groups so we could give each participant personalized tasks and challenges.
